Configuration Management Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The company is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to support Bill of Materials (BoM) generation and change processes within its ERP environment at the Bangalore site.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and generate Bill of Materials, ensuring accuracy throughout the product lifecycle.
• Manage change processes (ECO/ECR) in the ERP system.
• Provide expertise on Master BoM, Manufacturing BoM and production process concepts.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, communicating updates and solving problems.
• Work rotating shifts (morning, afternoon, night) as required.
• Utilize ERP tools; SAP experience is a plus.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years or B.E. in Mechanical with 4+ years of manufacturing support / production planning experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes and change management.
• Ability to work in a shift‑based environment and provide informal guidance to new team members.
