Computer Science Faculty (Full‑time, Sharjah)

About the role

Westford Global Education is seeking a full‑time Computer Science faculty member to join its Sharjah campus. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses, guiding student projects, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, update and deliver lectures, tutorials, labs and assessments for computer science programmes.
• Integrate current industry trends and research findings into course content.
• Supervise student projects, provide academic advising and timely feedback.
• Participate in curriculum review, accreditation activities and departmental meetings.
• Contribute to institutional initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching quality and student experience.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline (PhD preferred; relevant master’s with extensive teaching experience considered).
• Prior higher‑education teaching experience with evidence of effective classroom management.
• Strong communication, collaboration and intercultural skills.
• Commitment to inclusive, learner‑focused education.

Required skills

• Subject‑matter expertise in core Computer Science concepts.
• Proficiency in programming languages and tools commonly used in academia and industry.
• Knowledge or teaching experience in Data Science.
• Knowledge or teaching experience in Cybersecurity.
• Ability to use technology‑enhanced learning tools and learning management systems.
