Compliance Engineer – Product Safety & Regulatory

About the role

Orbit & Skyline is seeking a Compliance Engineer to ensure that our products meet global regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle. You will provide technical support, guidance, and documentation to achieve and maintain product compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and complete technical verification documentation to achieve product compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering design teams to prevent compliance issues and review design data.
• Apply compliance engineering concepts, techniques, and criteria to develop compliant products.
• Identify and resolve product and engineering design issues.
• Coordinate third‑party audit activities, including quotations, scheduling, supervision, troubleshooting, and report review.
• Advise product management on compliance‑related matters and isolate non‑conformance issues for resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, systems engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in product design.
• 2‑3 years of experience in compliance activities.
• Ability to review reports, manuals, procedures and technical documentation for required information.
• Experience preparing documentation with analysis, statistics and data, and updating compliance knowledge databases.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of at least one standard: SEMI S2, NFPA 79, IEC 60204‑1, IEC 60204‑33.
• Experience with UL 508A, NFPA 79, IEC 60204‑1 or IEC 60204‑33 compliant power distribution design.
• Design of safety‑related control system parts (e.g., emergency stop circuits, interlock circuits).
• Creation of compliance processes, procedures and templates.
• Proficiency in product compliance evaluation and testing.
• Solid technical understanding of product and process design.
