Competition Law Associate – Antitrust & Merger Specialist

About the role

As a Competition Practice Area Lawyer, you will assist clients with a wide range of competition law matters, working closely with experienced attorneys on antitrust investigations, merger transactions, and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and analysis for antitrust investigations, draft responses to regulatory notices, and assist senior attorneys in developing legal strategies for clients under antitrust scrutiny.
• Prepare merger notification filings, coordinate and liaise with clients and regulators to ensure a smooth merger review process, and perform due diligence on competition law aspects of merger deals.
• Provide competition law advice to clients, assess business practices and agreements for compliance, and draft legal memoranda and opinions on competition law issues.
• Collaborate with the legal team to deliver high‑quality services, maintaining attention to detail and staying updated on relevant legal developments.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of post‑qualification experience in a law firm focusing on competition law, with proven work on antitrust investigations, merger filings, and advisory projects.
• Law degree from a recognized law school with a strong academic record.
• Strong research, analytical, and legal writing abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
