Compensation Analyst III (Senior) – Equity Administration & Global Rewards

About the role

Appian is seeking a Compensation Analyst III (Senior) to lead global equity administration and total rewards strategy from its Chennai hub. The role combines data‑driven analysis with the design of scalable compensation frameworks to support the company’s rapid international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global equity plan governance, modernizing grant structures, option/RSU lifecycles and cap‑table administration using E*TRADE and Morgan Stanley.
• Develop executive‑level compensation analytics and present market insights to senior leadership.
• Design and scale global salary structures, geographic differentials and benchmarking bands across regions.
• Oversee end‑to‑end compensation cycles, including data validation, budget allocation and execution for merit, bonus and equity programs.
• Conduct global pay‑equity audits, implement remediation strategies and ensure compliance with international regulations.
• Partner with HR business partners, talent acquisition and business leaders on complex offers and organizational design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of progressive global compensation experience in high‑growth technology or enterprise software environments.
• Hands‑on experience administering global equity plans and managing equity lifecycles with E*TRADE or Morgan Stanley.
• Advanced analytical and data‑modeling skills in Excel and experience optimizing HRIS systems such as Workday.
