Community & Social Media Specialist

About the role

You will be the first human face for new Dodo merchants, guiding them from sign‑up through their first live payment. Combining white‑glove onboarding with strong community instincts, you will turn Discord, Reddit, LinkedIn and X into vibrant homes for builders and help position Dodo as the go‑to Merchant of Record for AI and SaaS startups.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end merchant onboarding, including KYC, setup and first transaction.
• Design and maintain repeatable onboarding playbooks, SOPs and checklists.
• Run community rituals such as AMAs, office hours, spotlights and win shout‑outs.
• Moderate Discord and Reddit, escalating bugs, product gaps and feedback to Product and Engineering.
• Manage Dodo’s daily social presence on LinkedIn, X (Twitter) and Reddit.
• Build and nurture relationships with VCs, accelerators and founder communities.
• Co‑host events, workshops and AMAs with ecosystem partners.
• Help hire, onboard and mentor future team members.

Required profile

• 0–2 years experience in customer onboarding, community management, developer relations, customer success or founder‑facing roles.
• Excellent written communication; able to craft clear Discord replies, onboarding emails and LinkedIn posts.
• Comfortable engaging with founders, CTOs, operators and indie hackers.
• Process‑builder mindset: turn ad‑hoc work into documented systems.
• Bonus: existing relationships in VC, accelerator or founder communities; exposure to global payments or Merchant of Record models.
