Community Manager

About the role

Mehico is seeking a high‑energy Community Manager who knows Kolkata’s social, corporate and nightlife scenes. The role focuses on turning personal networks into regular guests, events and revenue for the restaurant, rather than traditional social‑media management.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture a diverse Mehico community of young professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives, influencers, college/alumni groups, lifestyle and nightlife crowds.
• Develop relationships with key community leaders to drive guest traffic and convert one‑time visitors into repeat guests.
• Personally acquire guests through networking, outreach and partnership development with relevant groups, clubs and companies.
• Conceptualise, plan and execute a monthly calendar of commercially viable events such as ladies’ nights, DJ nights, Latin evenings, corporate socials and brand collaborations.
• Ensure each event has clear revenue targets, track guest counts, spend per guest and overall profitability.
• Prepare event‑level P&L statements, evaluating costs, expected revenue and profit contribution.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Kolkata’s social and corporate circles and the ability to identify influential individuals.
• Strong networking and relationship‑building skills with a focus on converting connections into business.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a results‑driven approach to guest acquisition and event revenue.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage diverse audiences.
