Community & Events Manager – Build Founder Communities

About the role

StartupNews.fyi is seeking an energetic Community & Events Manager to grow and nurture founder communities across India. You will plan and execute a variety of startup events while driving engagement on multiple online platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute startup events, founder meetups, workshops and networking sessions.
• Manage online and offline communities on WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram and other channels.
• Grow community membership, engagement, participation and retention.
• Build relationships with founders, investors, speakers, partners and ecosystem leaders.
• Coordinate venues, sponsors, speakers, vendors and event partners.
• Handle registrations, attendee communication, guest lists, schedules and on‑ground execution.
• Create engagement campaigns, polls, discussions, announcements and community content.
• Identify partnership and collaboration opportunities.
• Track event and community performance, feedback, attendance and growth metrics.
• Support sponsorship outreach, event promotions and community‑led business opportunities.
• Represent StartupNews.fyi professionally at ecosystem gatherings.

Required profile

• 2 years of experience in community or event management within startup ecosystems.
• Strong communication, networking and people‑management abilities.
• Ability to independently manage events from planning to execution.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Willingness to work onsite in Central Delhi six days a week.
• Prior experience with startups, media companies or founder communities is a plus.

• Proficiency in managing social media platforms such as LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Instagram.
