Community Building Manager – Placement & Alumni Operations

About the role

NxtWave is seeking a Community Building Manager to own the process that captures, documents, and distributes every student placement as visible proof across all channels, while building and nurturing a vibrant alumni community.

Key responsibilities

• Track daily placement data, verify completeness, and coordinate with alumni, internal teams, and vendors.
• Contact placed alumni, record their journeys, obtain consent and photos, and publish LinkedIn posts within 3‑4 days.
• Plan and execute testimonial video shoots, ensuring final videos go live within 12 days.
• Raise poster requests with the design team and enforce a 2‑3 day turnaround.
• Publish placement content on the website, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp communities, and performance media according to a fixed calendar.
• Share high‑impact content proactively with the Performance Marketing team.
• Build the alumni community from the ground up, matching alumni with prospective learners, organizing meet‑ups every 2‑3 months, and driving daily learner reviews.
• Monitor reputation, flag negative reviews, and coordinate timely responses.
• Submit outcome reports every 15 days, keep process documentation up to date, and manage two CDAs.
• Represent the community on camera when needed.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented checklist thinker who documents processes without prompting.
• Comfortable speaking with alumni at pivotal career moments.
• Proactive coordinator managing 6‑7 teams simultaneously and flagging blockers early.
• Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and WhatsApp community dynamics.

Required skills

• Strong Google Sheets proficiency.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• 2‑4 years experience in community management, marketing operations, or program coordination, preferably in EdTech.
