Communications Specialist – Media Relations

About the role

The Media Relations Corporate Communications Specialist will help promote, protect, and defend the Accenture brand across the Asia‑Pacific region, including Japan. Working within a global media team, you will craft compelling narratives that align with Accenture’s strategic messages and support the company’s growth and reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Asia‑Pacific team members, client engagement teams, and relevant stakeholders to shape ideas and narratives that reflect Accenture’s strategic themes.
• Develop, write, and edit a wide range of materials such as talking points, articles, and news releases for the region.
• Partner with global media leads, industry marketing, and client executives to create content and respond promptly to media inquiries.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with key journalists and client peers.
• Interview subject‑matter experts across services, corporate functions, and global programs to inform messaging.
• Translate technical language into clear, accessible copy.
• Monitor competitive media mentions and share of voice, applying insights to improve Accenture’s market position.
• Support corporate reputation, citizenship, inclusion, diversity, and equality strategies while upholding Accenture’s editorial standards.

Required profile

• Four to six years of communications and/or writing experience, preferably in a large global enterprise.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information and develop compelling external messages.
• Impeccable writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
• Experience with media relations related to brand, marketing, or journalism.
• Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.

Required skills
