Communication Specialist for GEF6 Green-Ag Project

About the role

The Communication Specialist will support the GEF6 Green-Ag Project, a joint initiative of FAO and the Government of India aimed at transforming Indian agriculture for environmental benefits. Based in New Delhi, the role works closely with the FAO Representative, Assistant Representatives, and the National Technical Coordinator to ensure effective visual and written communication across national, state, and pilot sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain communication materials for FAO projects, ensuring brand consistency and visibility.
• Design and produce digital and print visibility materials specifically for the GEF6 Green-Ag Project.
• Draft, edit, and review reports, case studies, and policy papers to showcase project outcomes.
• Collaborate with Office of Communications (OCC) branches and other communication focal points to align messaging.
• Provide mentorship and support to national and state-level communication units (NPMU, SPM).

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in development and visual communication.
• Experience working in multi‑stakeholder, international development environments.
• Strong ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling content for diverse audiences.
