Commis III – Pastry

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis III to join our pastry and bakery team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will support the Pastry Chef in preparing high‑quality desserts, pastries and baked goods while adhering to recipes and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Pastry Chef and senior team in daily production.
• Measure and prepare ingredients accurately according to recipes.
• Support the preparation of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, creams, and fillings.
• Perform basic pastry tasks such as mixing, whipping, piping, moulding, decorating and baking.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, appearance and portion size.
• Follow food‑preparation, hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Keep workstations, utensils and equipment clean and organized.
• Manage mise en place and daily production requirements, applying FIFO and proper storage.
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
• Support the team during busy service periods and adhere to safety standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Commis III, Pastry Commis or Bakery Commis is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of pastry and bakery preparation.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Good teamwork, communication and willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Professional grooming and personal hygiene.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of baking techniques.
• Familiarity with ovens, mixers, scales and other pastry equipment.
