About the role
Hilton is seeking a motivated Commis I to join its kitchen team, focusing on South Indian cuisine. You will work under the guidance of the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to prepare, cook, and bake food for guests and team members while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and quality.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare food efficiently, economically, and hygienically according to standard recipes.
- Support the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie to ensure smooth kitchen operations and prompt service.
- Plan, prepare, and present high‑quality food and beverage items following recipes, standards, and plating guides.
- Maintain HACCP compliance and use all kitchen equipment, tools, and machines correctly.
- Assist with off‑site events, inventory taking, and occasional non‑kitchen tasks as required.
- Respond to guest feedback and adapt to changes quickly.
Required profile
- Junior Middle School graduate or higher.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Cook or 1 year as a Commis II in a 5‑star hotel environment.
- Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and willingness to learn.
Required skills
- HACCP knowledge and food safety practices.
- Food preparation, cooking, and baking techniques.
- Operation of kitchen equipment and tools.
- Inventory management and basic stock taking.
