About the role

You will create a positive shopping experience for customers in a fast‑paced retail environment, delivering exceptional service, handling inquiries and complaints, processing payments, and assisting with product assembly while supporting store goals and upholding IKEA values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, solution‑oriented customer service.
• Listen to and resolve complaints and inquiries, escalating when needed.
• Maintain an organized, well‑equipped workspace to optimise the shopping experience.
• Accurately process transactions and ensure a smooth checkout.
• Assist customers with product assembly concerns and manage exchanges.
• Contribute to the store’s commercial action plan to maximise sales and profitability.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and colleagues.
• Uphold and reflect IKEA’s values in all interactions.

Required profile

• Passionate about creating a positive shopping experience and enthusiastic about home furnishing.
• Strong customer focus, team‑player attitude and excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Friendly, approachable, calm under pressure and empathetic when handling complaints.
• Experience in customer service and a retail environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with great attention to detail.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
