Collection Manager – Team Lead – Lending Collections

About the role

Paytm is seeking a Collection Manager – Team Lead to oversee lending collections and EM recovery for a designated area. The role involves leading a team of collection officers, driving collection targets, and ensuring efficient repayment processes.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve collection targets for the assigned area and manage case flow, focusing on non‑starters.
• Document feedback and ensure adequate street‑level availability across buckets and segments.
• Set and monitor productivity parameters for collection officers, agencies, and in‑house teams.
• Review performance against set metrics and conduct weekly reviews with collection executives.
• Oversee background checks of collection agencies and identify training needs for collection executives.
• Support collection officers with legal, police, and other collection‑related issues.
• Evaluate performance of all collection executives and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• People‑management experience with at least 4 years in a collections role.
• Proven track record of achieving targets and a results‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong relationship‑building and leadership capabilities.
• Graduation or post‑graduation education.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to drive productivity and manage agency relationships.
