Collection Manager – Team Lead (Lending Collections)

About the role

Lead the collections target and control collection flow for a specified area. Manage a large team of collection officers, overseeing their productivity and performance. Ensure effective liaison between creditors and consumers.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve collection targets for the assigned area and manage case flow, focusing on non‑starters.
• Maintain documented feedback and ensure adequate street‑level coverage across segments.
• Set and monitor productivity parameters for collection officers and agencies, conducting weekly performance reviews.
• Oversee background checks for collection agencies, identify training needs, and evaluate performance of collection executives.
• Support collection officers with legal, police, and other collection‑related issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in collections with a proven track record of achieving targets.
• Strong people‑management, communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Demonstrated success orientation and ability to thrive in a high‑performance environment.
• Working knowledge of computers.
