Cloud Operations Administrator

About the role

The Cloud Operations Administrator works closely with the Service Delivery Manager to ensure efficient use of cloud resources, transparent billing, and continuous cost optimisation across multiple cloud platforms. The role combines technical Linux administration with strategic capacity planning and financial oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor cloud resource usage and recommend adjustments to optimise capacity and cost.
• Manage billing and show‑back operations to maintain accurate cloud expenditure reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement cloud governance policies and best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud operations, billing processes, and cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on operational tasks.
• Perform capacity management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in SUSE Linux environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SUSE Linux administration.
• 15 years of full‑time education.
• Proven ability to work independently and become a subject‑matter expert.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost efficiency.
