Cloud Native Architect - Lead Architect

About the role

Deloitte’s AI & Engineering team is seeking an experienced Cloud Native Architect to lead the design and implementation of cloud‑native, microservices‑based applications. You will modernize legacy web technologies into scalable solutions on AWS, driving technical direction and ensuring secure, performant outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define end‑to‑end architecture across microservices, APIs, front‑end, data, and cloud infrastructure layers.
• Lead engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and AWS.
• Design RESTful services, JSON contracts, and microservices patterns including versioning, resiliency, and integration.
• Establish standardized approaches for GenAI‑enabled application modernization and token usage optimization.
• Collaborate with product, security, operations, and release stakeholders to evaluate trade‑offs, manage technical risk, and align architecture decisions with delivery goals.

Required profile

• 14+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in an application or solution architect role.
• Proven experience designing cloud‑native applications on AWS using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Strong background in RESTful API design, JSON integration, and microservices architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL design, performance tuning, migrations, and high‑availability strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

• Testing: contract testing, integration testing, automated test strategies, load testing, capacity planning
• AWS Solutions Architect certification (preferred)
