Cloud Infrastructure & Database Engineer (Junior/Senior)

About the role

Delta Capita is expanding its technology team for Report Hub, a strategic regulatory reporting platform used by global financial institutions. The role supports, optimises and evolves Azure cloud infrastructure and database services, ensuring security, performance and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Azure cloud infrastructure and database services, monitoring availability, performance, capacity and security.
• Maintain and optimise SQL Server and Azure SQL environments, including deployments, upgrades, backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, database and application issues and implement automation and Infrastructure‑as‑Code.
• Contribute to DevOps, monitoring and operational improvement initiatives, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, SRE, Architecture and Production Support teams.

Required profile

• Junior candidates: basic knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure or database concepts, exposure to Azure and SQL Server, and strong analytical skills.
• Senior candidates: proven experience supporting enterprise‑scale Azure infrastructure and SQL Server, expertise in high‑availability and disaster‑recovery, and ability to mentor junior engineers.
