Cloud Engineer – VMware & Hyperconverged Infrastructure

About the role

Netrix Global is looking for a hands‑on Cloud Engineer to design, deploy and support private cloud infrastructure across multiple data centres. You will work with VMware‑based environments and a range of hyper‑converged platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability and security for multi‑tenant production workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain virtualised infrastructure platforms (vSphere, ESXi, VMware Cloud Director, NSX‑T).
• Support and optimise compute, storage and backup systems, including Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail and Cisco HyperFlex.
• Troubleshoot performance, availability and capacity issues across compute, storage and networking layers.
• Collaborate with internal teams on migrations, upgrades and client onboarding.
• Design and manage storage solutions – Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAN zoning, block, file and object storage.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning and data‑reduction (deduplication, compression).
• Implement backup, disaster‑recovery and recovery strategies, ensuring workload recoverability.
• Document configurations, processes and run‑books.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule to support production environments.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with VMware technologies in production environments.
• Experience with enterprise compute platforms such as Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail or Cisco HyperFlex.
• Deep understanding of storage architectures, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAN design and block/file storage systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform capacity planning.
• Comfort operating in multi‑tenant, production environments with a solution‑oriented mindset.
