Cloud Architect – India Office

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Architect for our India office to lead the design, implementation, and governance of cloud solutions across the enterprise. The role combines strategic planning, security oversight, cost optimisation and cross‑functional leadership to ensure a resilient, scalable and cost‑effective cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design multi‑tier cloud architectures using IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services from AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Evaluate and select cloud providers or hybrid configurations that meet business and technical requirements.
• Develop scalability plans and automated scaling policies to handle traffic spikes.
• Define Identity & Access Management models and enforce least‑privilege access.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2 and implement encryption, firewalls and DDoS protection.
• Model monthly cloud spend, right‑size resources and plan reserved instance purchases to control costs.
• Translate business goals into technical requirements for multi‑region deployments and data residency.
• Mentor cloud engineers and developers on cloud‑native best practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and governing enterprise cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance and FinOps principles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud platforms.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
• Programming/scripting with Python, Go or Java.
• Networking concepts: VPC, DNS, load balancing, CDN.
• Database technologies: SQL, NoSQL, Data Lake architectures.
• IAM design, encryption, firewalls and DDoS protection.
