Clinical Associate – Consultant (Part‑time)

About the role

Good Business Lab, in partnership with UC Berkeley researchers, is piloting a lay‑counsellor delivered psychological intervention for harmful alcohol use in factory settings. The Clinical Associate will support the delivery of this intervention by supervising lay counsellors, monitoring implementation, and advising on additional training needs.

Key responsibilities

• Study the intervention manual in depth and liaise with Sangath to resolve any questions.
• Provide individual and group clinical supervision to trained lay counsellors.
• Conduct supervision sessions to discuss cases, address challenges, and manage safeguarding concerns.
• Document and share observations on field implementation of the intervention.
• Collaborate with the Research Manager and Principal Investigator to identify further support or training requirements.
• Coordinate with the Field Associate to schedule supervision and training sessions and travel to the intervention site 1–2 days per week.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health or a related clinical field.
• At least one year of clinical experience, including counselling delivery.
• Experience in risk assessment and safety planning.
• Fluency in English and ability to communicate in Hindi and Kannada.

What we offer

• Consultant contract with a 50 % time commitment.
• Duration of two months.
• Compensation of 30,000 INR per month.
