Clinical Application Specialist – Cardiovascular Informatics

About the role
Help shape the future of healthcare informatics by partnering with clinical experts and R&D teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve imaging workflows and patient care. You will serve as the clinical expert for the Cardiology and Radiology Informatics product portfolio, translating clinical needs into actionable product requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with global R&D teams to define, refine, and validate clinical requirements for cardiovascular and radiology informatics solutions.
- Translate customer, product management, and marketing needs into clear clinical specifications that guide software development, verification, and releases.
- Lead clinical validation activities, expert testing, defect classification, risk assessments, complaint analysis, and product quality initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with customers, validation sites, and key clinical stakeholders, representing the clinician’s voice throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide training and clinical guidance to field application specialists and customers while staying current with advances in imaging and informatics.
- Assist Clinical Affairs/Medical Office with planning and execution of clinical collaborations, protocol development, data collection, and analysis.
Required profile
- 7+ years of hands‑on experience in radiology with strong knowledge of cardiovascular imaging workflows and clinical practice.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Radiology, Echocardiography, Cardiac Care Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Ultrasound, a Medical Degree with radiology or cardiology specialization, or comparable qualification.
- Proven ability to translate clinical requirements into product specifications, conduct clinical validation, assess defects, and collaborate across multidisciplinary software development teams.
- Deep understanding of cardiology imaging modalities such as echocardiography, X‑ray angiography, ECG, CT, MRI, and related cardiovascular workflows.
- Excellent English communication, customer‑focused mindset, and ability to bridge clinical and technical discussions in an international environment.
Required skills
- Experience with Philips solutions: Intellispace Radiology/ISPACS, VuePACS, IntelliSpace Cardiovascular, Xcelera, Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS), Philips Ultrasound Workspace.
- Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA).
- Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, and HIPAA standards.
- Agile software development methodologies.
