Client Service Manager – Trade Solutions

About the role

The Client Service Manager will join HSBC’s Global Trade Solutions (GTS) Client Services team, providing premium support to trade and receivables finance clients. The role focuses on end‑to‑end transaction processing, issue resolution and proactive relationship management for high‑value customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the complete lifecycle of trade transactions for premium and standard clients, ensuring all documentation and internal approvals are in place.
• Coordinate internal approvals and track deferrals to achieve straight‑through processing and minimise transaction breakdowns.
• Respond to client inquiries via phone, email and the e‑helpline, assigning issues to appropriate teams and ensuring timely resolution.
• Handle customer complaints with a focus on high‑quality service, balancing client satisfaction with business considerations.
• Prepare onboarding documentation and forms for new clients, facilitating smooth account set‑up.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and support revenue growth by staying informed of product updates, regulatory changes and market trends.

Required profile

• Proven experience in client servicing within trade finance or a related banking environment.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills to resolve complex enquiries and discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities with premium customers.
• Ability to stay current on regulatory developments and new service offerings.
