About the role

The Portland Area Manager will lead our janitorial teams across multiple sites, ensuring cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met. This role blends leadership, customer service, and operational expertise while upholding health and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations across several locations.
• Manage, train, and develop janitors and supervisors.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, implementing corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and control budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Address client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainability practices in cleaning methods and products.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for senior management.
