About the role

The Portland Area Manager will lead our janitorial teams across multiple sites, ensuring that cleaning and maintenance standards are consistently met. This role blends leadership, customer service, and operational expertise while upholding health and safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations across several locations, guaranteeing high cleanliness standards.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of janitors and supervisors, fostering a culture of performance and teamwork.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring resources are available.
• Prepare and control budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Address client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainable cleaning practices and products.
• Generate reports and performance metrics for senior management.
