Cleaning Operative (4 hrs/week, Tuesday & Friday)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaning Operative to maintain a busy concrete construction site. The role is part‑time, totalling 4 hours per week, with two 2‑hour shifts on Tuesdays and Fridays. Working hours are flexible within those days.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the site canteen, office areas, welfare facilities and two toilets.
• Sweep, mop and clean concrete floors and surfaces to meet site cleanliness standards.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and responsibly.
• Use cleaning equipment and products in line with health & safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE, including safety shoes and a high‑visibility vest.
• Report any hazards, damages or maintenance concerns to management.
• Work independently to complete tasks efficiently during scheduled visits.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Operative or in a similar role.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Willingness to follow all site rules and health & safety regulations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods.
• Competence in using cleaning equipment safely.
