Civil/Structural Design Engineer

About the role

Assystem is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to contribute to the design and analysis of industrial buildings and infrastructure projects, primarily in the power sector. The role involves applying engineering principles to create safe, efficient structures while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural steel and reinforced concrete analysis and design for industrial facilities, including water‑retaining structures.
• Utilise analytical software such as STAAD, SAFE, ETABS and SAP to model and verify designs.
• Apply relevant IS, American, British and European codes to ensure compliance across domestic and international projects.
• Review and lead design deliverables on multiple EPC projects, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in structural design for power or similar industrial projects.
• BE or ME in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, having acted as a reviewer or lead engineer on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with STAAD, SAFE, ETABS and SAP software.
• In‑depth knowledge of IS codes and international design standards.
• Experience designing cooling towers and chimneys is preferred.
