Civil Execution Engineer

About the role

The Engineer – Execution (Civil) will lead on‑site civil construction activities, ensuring work is carried out in line with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project schedules. The role reports to the Project/Construction Manager and requires close coordination with subcontractors, labour teams and technical departments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day civil construction tasks such as excavation, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, road works and drainage.
• Supervise site crews and ensure proper deployment of manpower, materials, machinery and equipment.
• Monitor daily progress against targets, identify constraints and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Study and interpret IFC, GFC, structural and architectural drawings, ensuring execution follows approved documents.
• Raise RFIs/TQs for discrepancies and ensure only current drawing revisions are used on site.
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers for inspections, testing and concrete quality control, including pouring, curing and rectification of non‑conforming work.
• Maintain daily records, progress reports, pour cards, checklists and other documentation for measurement and billing.
• Execute work according to the approved project programme and highlight any delays or resource needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in executing civil works on construction sites.
• Strong ability to read and understand IFC, GFC, structural and architectural drawings.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures for concrete and other civil activities.
• Experience in coordinating with subcontractors, surveyors and technical teams.
• Ability to produce accurate daily progress and measurement documentation.
