Chief Ground Instructor – Aviation Training

About the role

The Chief Ground Instructor (CGI) will lead the ground training function at the newly established Airbus India Training Centre in Gurgaon, supporting the joint‑venture between Airbus and Air India.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and standardise ground instructors, ensuring competency per Airbus training standards and DGCA requirements.
• Verify completion of relevant training and standardisation forms in line with procedures.
• Deliver theoretical knowledge training sessions according to the training programme.
• Conduct System Knowledge tests following examination procedures.
• Convene and document interviews and follow‑up actions for sub‑standard performance.
• Provide guidance for recruitment and selection of instructors.
• Maintain the Training Programme Management (TPM) in compliance with Airbus manuals and DGCA regulations.
• Report directly to the Head of Training and act as a compliance risk awareness point.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aviation ground instruction and familiarity with Airbus aircraft (A320, A350) training curricula.
• Strong knowledge of DGCA regulatory requirements and Airbus training standards.
• Ability to lead, mentor and standardise a team of instructors.
• Commitment to integrity and compliance with company and regulatory policies.
