Chef de Partie – Halwai (Hotel Kitchen)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie – Halwai to join our hotel kitchen team. In this position you will be responsible for preparing traditional Indian sweets and related dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook Halwai items according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and maintain accurate food logs.
• Thaw frozen items, portion, arrange and garnish dishes, and ensure proper food storage.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, communicate assistance needs during busy periods, and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Update service staff on menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and any changes.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report hazards and maintain a clean, professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work long periods standing, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting and reaching.
