Chassis Design Engineer

About the role

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Chassis Design Engineer to create and validate 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings for vehicle chassis projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Perform Digital Mock‑Up (DMU) studies for packaging, clearance, and clash analysis.
• Develop General Assembly (GA) drawings and 3D annotations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, benchmarking, and apply DFM/DFS principles.
• Optimize component weight, cost, manufacturability and structural performance.
• Support prototype builds and resolve vehicle integration issues.
• Coordinate with CAE, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and Production teams.
• Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), NPRs and design releases.
• Maintain BOM, CAD data and PLM documentation using Windchill and SAP.
• Prepare SOPs, Add/Delete Lists and Design Maturity Index (DMI) reports.
• Support design validation, testing and issue resolution during vehicle builds.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in chassis or vehicle structural design.
• Strong knowledge of DFM and DFS methodologies.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage change processes.
