Charge Nurse – CCU (Band 6)

About the role

We are seeking a Band 6 Charge Nurse to join the Interventional Cardiology team at Golden Jubilee Hospital. The successful candidate will support the Senior Charge Nurse, lead the nursing team when required, and help deliver high‑quality patient care within the CCU.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the nursing team in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse.
• Assist in day‑to‑day delivery of patient care in the Interventional Cardiology service.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to manage fluctuating service pressures.
• Model professional standards and mentor junior staff.
• Drive service improvement initiatives and contribute to quality improvement projects.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead a nursing team in a high‑pressure environment.
• Experience working within an interventional cardiology or similar acute care setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across departmental boundaries.
• Motivated, enthusiastic “can‑do” attitude towards service improvement.
