Cashier (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions and operations for multiple branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position involves accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments while delivering superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders, and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and maintain appropriate system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty cash, and asset registers; submit requisitions to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, end‑of‑day reconciliation, and report in the Branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash custody with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, identify cross‑selling opportunities, and educate them on alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to transaction turnaround times and compliance with banking regulations.
• Validate customer authenticity during cash withdrawals and verify deposit slip accuracy.

Required profile

• Experience in cash handling and banking operations.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations and internal procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle queries and escalations.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and reconciliation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with branch staff and management.
