Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. The role involves accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, and loan repayments while maintaining proper records.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders, and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash register, and assets register; submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, reconcile end‑of‑day transactions, and prepare the Branch End‑of‑Day report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash department with the Operations Officer.
• Provide courteous customer service, explain repayment schedules, and promote cross‑selling of bank products.
• Ensure adherence to transaction turnaround times and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
• Ability to interact professionally with customers and address their queries.
• Understanding of banking procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Capability to work collaboratively with branch staff and management.
