Cashier - Multiple Location

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position supports the smooth functioning of the branch by handling cash, checks, drafts, and other instruments while delivering courteous customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Collect loan repayments as per EMI schedules and maintain accurate system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash and asset registers; submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, reconcile transactions, and prepare the End‑of‑Day branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash custody with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, identify cross‑sell opportunities, and educate them on new products and alternate channels.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround times, banking regulations, and internal policies for all cashier operations.

• Capability to work collaboratively with branch staff and senior officers.
• Reliability in maintaining registers, reports and vault security.
