Cashier – Hotel Front Desk

About the role

The Cashier at Hotel Centrepoint will manage guest billing and payment transactions in a busy three‑star hotel environment. Working on‑site in Chennai, you will ensure accurate processing of cash, card and digital payments while delivering courteous service to guests at checkout and dining outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system to record sales and process payments.
• Issue receipts, balance cash drawers and prepare daily financial reports.
• Coordinate with front‑office and restaurant teams to verify bill accuracy and resolve billing queries.
• Maintain organized records of all transactions and adhere to hotel financial procedures.
• Keep the cashier station clean and orderly, following hygiene and safety standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or accounting training is a plus.
• Experience in hospitality, retail or front‑office cashier roles preferred.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and time‑management abilities.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in English and the local language.
