Cashier – Full-time Retail Position

About the role

Gnosis Food Ventures is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Cashier to join its Mumbai team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling transactions quickly and accurately while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers the chance to develop retail and food‑service skills in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, card and digital payments using the POS system and issue receipts.
• Greet customers, answer basic product or menu questions, and provide courteous service.
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and ensure the billing counter runs smoothly.
• Reconcile the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Follow company policies for returns, exchanges, and report any discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to manage peak‑hour traffic and uphold service standards.

Required profile

• Ability to handle cash, card and digital transactions accurately.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Attention to detail and reliability in following procedures.
• Comfort standing for extended periods and managing high‑volume interactions.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Minimum high school diploma; retail or hospitality training is a plus.
