Cashier – Branch Banking (Multiple Locations)

About the role

The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions for multiple branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position involves accurate processing, daily reconciliation and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cash transactions, including receipt and processing of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants and cash withdrawals, and maintain all related registers.
• Disburse cash, collect deposits and loan repayments, and perform end‑of‑day cash tally and reconciliation reports.
• Manage the branch vault and cash custody jointly with the Operations Officer, ensuring security and compliance.
• Interact with customers, address queries, promote bank products and educate them on alternative channels for deposits and withdrawals.
• Maintain accurate entries in the banking system, update passbooks, and validate the authenticity of cash withdrawals.

Required profile

• Graduation (any discipline), preferably Finance or Commerce.
• 1–2 years of experience handling high‑volume cash operations in a banking or financial environment.
• Familiarity with financial modules/ERP and basic accounting data consolidation.
• Strong numerical ability, attention to detail and ability to work under defined turnaround times.

Required skills

• Cash handling and accounting procedures.
• Use of banking software and ERP financial modules (training provided).
• Computer literacy with standard office applications.
