Cashier – Branch Banking (Full‑time)

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at the branch in line with banking guidelines. The role includes processing cheques, drafts, cash deposits and withdrawals, maintaining registers and performing end‑of‑day reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants and pay orders, and disburse cash against withdrawal requests within authorized limits.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash and assets registers, and prepare requisition forms for the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare the End‑of‑Day branch report and ensure accurate vault management jointly with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, explain repayment schedules, promote bank products and educate on alternate channels for transactions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, bank policies and defined turnaround times for cash‑handling processes.

Required profile

• Graduation (any stream), preferably Finance/Commerce.
• 1–2 years of experience handling high‑volume cash transactions and making entries in financial modules/ERP.

Required skills

• Cash handling and accounting skills.
• Experience with financial modules/ERP for transaction entry.
• Proficiency in computer operations and relevant banking software.
