Cashier – Branch Banking (Full‑time)

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at the branch, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. The role includes end‑of‑day reconciliation and maintaining accurate registers.

Key responsibilities

• Process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments, providing acknowledgements.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposits, updating system entries.
• Maintain inward/outward, petty‑cash and assets registers, and submit requisitions to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, prepare end‑of‑day reports, and manage the branch vault jointly with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, cross‑sell products, and educate them on alternate channels.
• Ensure compliance with TAT, regulations, and bank policies for all cashier operations.

Required profile

• UG degree in any discipline, preferably Finance/Commerce.
• 1–2 years of experience handling high‑volume cash transactions.
• Experience with financial modules/ERP for entry and consolidation.
• Ability to detect counterfeit notes and verify transaction accuracy.
