Career Manager – Consulting Talent Development

About the role

Guide Chennai consultants through transformative career journeys while building operational excellence that fuels customer success and business growth. You will partner with the People Team and Professional Services to develop world‑class consulting talent.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and continuously improve systems and processes that support talent development, evaluation, feedback, and retention.
• Partner with senior consultants to create consulting career development frameworks.
• Contribute to performance management processes, including feedback cycles, reviews, and promotion calibrations.
• Align talent development initiatives with regional business objectives in collaboration with Customer Success leaders.
• Ensure career aspirations and business needs are aligned for professional growth and skill development.
• Serve as a trusted resource, providing one‑on‑one counsel to consultants on career growth and performance.
• Facilitate learning journeys, advising on training, skill‑building, and engagement opportunities.
• Support internal operational processes such as feedback tracking, timesheets, and compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organization Development, or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in HR, Talent Management, or Career Counseling within a consulting or professional services environment.
• Proven experience managing a pool of resources in a consulting organization with strong one‑on‑one coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to strategically align workforce capability development with short‑ and long‑term business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to develop talent that directly supports business performance and growth.
