Care Buddy – Senior Support & Companion

About the role

The Care Buddy is the first point of contact and the friendly face of Prayojana, providing compassionate, day‑to‑day support to senior members. Acting like a trusted family member, the Care Buddy ensures wellbeing, assists with errands, and helps seniors stay connected and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily to monitor wellbeing and address immediate needs.
• Assist with errands such as bank work, grocery shopping, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor appointments and laboratory visits.
• Help resolve technology issues, including setting up WhatsApp, internet troubleshooting, and using social media platforms.
• Visit members at least once a week, providing companionship and assessing needs.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate with hospitals during crises.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Accompany members on walks, social events, concerts, and arrange tickets and transportation as required.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and empathy.
• Available to take emergency calls 24 × 7 and willing to go the extra mile for seniors.
• Punctual, polite, soft‑spoken, and committed to keeping promises.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge with experience using web and mobile applications.
• Own a personal two‑wheeler (bike or scooter) for transportation.
• Preferably holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (nice to have).
