Care Buddy – Senior Support & Companion

About the role

The Care Buddy will be the first point of contact and the face of Prayojana, providing empathy and warmth comparable to a family member for assigned seniors.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily to monitor well‑being.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery shopping, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor appointments and lab visits.
• Help members with technology issues, including setting up WhatsApp, internet troubleshooting, and using social media platforms.
• Visit members at least once a week, provide companionship, and support emergency management procedures.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Accompany members to social events, arrange tickets and transportation, and act as a friendly companion.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and willingness to be available for emergency calls 24/7.
• Strong empathy, patience, politeness, punctuality, and commitment to keeping seniors comfortable.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge with experience using web and mobile applications.
• Own a personal two‑wheeler (bike or scooter) for transportation.
• Ability to manage up to ten members simultaneously.
• Optional: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a plus.
