Care Buddy – Senior Support Companion

About the role

The Care Buddy is the first point of contact and the friendly face of Prayojana, providing empathetic, day‑to‑day support to senior members. You will act as a trusted companion, helping with everyday tasks, health appointments, technology issues, and social activities.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily to monitor their well‑being.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery or vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor visits and lab appointments.
• Help resolve technology‑related issues, including setting up WhatsApp, internet troubleshooting, and social media use.
• Visit members at least once a week, or more frequently as needed.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate emergency response when required.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Provide companionship, accompany members for walks, social events, concerts, or family functions.
• Arrange tickets and transportation for events and outings.

Required profile

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
• Independent and available for emergency calls 24/7.
• Empathetic, patient, polite, punctual and committed.
• Willing to go the extra mile to keep seniors comfortable and worry‑free.
• Experience using web and mobile applications with basic computer and internet knowledge.
• Own a personal two‑wheeler (bike or scooter) for transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a plus.
