Care Buddy – Senior Support Companion

About the role

The Care Buddy is the primary point of contact and friendly face for Prayojana members, providing compassionate, day‑to‑day assistance that feels like family. You will support seniors in daily tasks, health management, technology use, and social activities.

Key responsibilities

• Check on members’ well‑being and visit at least once a week.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery or vegetable procurement.
• Schedule doctor appointments, accompany members, and arrange lab visits.
• Help members with technology issues (WhatsApp, internet, Facebook, Instagram).
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate care during emergencies.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Provide companionship: accompany walks, social events, and arrange tickets or transportation.

Required profile

• High integrity, trustworthiness and independence.
• Available for emergency calls 24/7.
• Strong empathy, patience, punctuality and commitment.
• Willingness to go the extra mile for seniors’ comfort.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge.
• Own two‑wheeler (bike/scooter) for transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a plus.
