Care Buddy – Provide Compassionate Support to Seniors

About the role

The Care Buddy is the first point of contact and the friendly face of Prayojana for senior members. Acting with empathy and warmth, the Care Buddy supports daily wellbeing, assists with errands, and helps seniors stay connected with technology and community.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily for wellbeing and assist with errands such as banking, grocery, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor appointments, lab visits, and other health‑related activities.
• Provide technology assistance, including setting up WhatsApp, fixing internet issues, and guiding use of social media platforms.
• Visit members at least once a week, educate them on emergency procedures, and coordinate emergency response when needed.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App, monitor medication inventory, and help order refills.
• Offer companionship by walking with members, attending social events, and arranging transportation and tickets for concerts, movies, or family functions.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and 24/7 availability for emergency calls.
• Strong empathy, patience, punctuality, and commitment to seniors’ comfort.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge with ability to use web and mobile applications.
• Own a personal two‑wheeler (bike or scooter) for transportation.
• Willingness to go the extra mile to keep seniors happy and worry‑free.
