Care Buddy – Provide Compassionate Support to Seniors

About the role

The Care Buddy is the first point of contact and the friendly face of Prayojana for senior members. You will provide empathetic, day‑to‑day assistance that feels as warm as support from family.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily to monitor well‑being.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery or vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor appointments and laboratory visits.
• Help resolve technology issues, including setting up WhatsApp, internet connectivity, and social‑media use.
• Visit members at least once a week, or more frequently as needed.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate care during emergencies.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Provide companionship, accompany walks, and attend social events or concerts.
• Arrange tickets and transportation for events and family functions.

Required profile

• High integrity, trustworthiness and willingness to be on‑call 24/7.
• Strong empathy, patience, punctuality and commitment to seniors’ comfort.
• Independent, soft‑spoken and able to go the extra mile.
• Own a personal two‑wheeler (bike or scooter) for travel.
• Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (nice to have).

Required skills

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with web and mobile applications.
