About the role
Capco is seeking a Capital Reporting Analyst to join its Mumbai team. The role focuses on regulatory capital reporting, business analysis, and stakeholder coordination for banking and financial services clients.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and support the Project Manager/team to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Track project activities, milestones, and outcomes using RAG status, identifying and flagging risks early.
- Drive follow‑ups across cross‑functional teams to maintain project momentum.
- Generate and present regular status reports highlighting progress, risks, challenges, and solutions.
- Prepare and maintain committee packs and other ad‑hoc project artefacts.
- Create and maintain Business Requirements Documents and drive requirements discussions.
- Participate in requirements prioritisation and IT release/scrum calls, providing feedback.
- Adopt a Business Analyst mindset to challenge inputs and ensure feasibility with business objectives.
- Maintain strong understanding of financial products and technology used in investment banking.
Required profile
- Proven Business Analyst experience in documentation, project coordination, stakeholder management, and supporting project managers.
- Strong tracking and reporting skills using RAG status, with ability to manage risks across teams and regions.
- Experience preparing committee packs, UAT planning, and delivering progress reports.
- Analytical mindset, proactive attitude, and solid knowledge of financial products and investment‑banking technology.
- Basic proficiency in Excel and SQL; experience in financial services/regulatory capital reporting, JIRA, Confluence, PowerPoint is a plus.
- Exposure to capital regulatory reporting, RWA, CVA calculation, and Basel programs (2.5, 3/4).
- Familiarity with financial asset classes such as SFT, OTC/ETD, and loans.
- 3+ years of hands‑on Alteryx and Power BI Designer experience.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and stored procedures.
- Experience with banking databases (SQL Server) and data warehouses.
- Understanding of API integration and web‑service connections.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Power BI and Tableau.
