Call Center Specialist

About the role

The Call Center Specialist will work full‑time on‑site at NURA’s Kozhikode screening centre. You will be the first point of contact for patients and prospective customers, handling inbound and outbound calls related to preventive health screening services.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and place calls, providing clear information about screening programs, centre locations and appointment procedures.
• Schedule appointments and guide callers through pre‑screening preparation requirements.
• Document all interactions accurately in NURA’s systems and follow standard operating procedures.
• Manage call queues, prioritize high‑volume traffic, and maintain confidentiality of health data.
• Escalate clinical or technical queries to the appropriate healthcare or support teams.
• Collect patient feedback and support follow‑up initiatives to improve the overall experience.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑facing experience in a contact‑center or similar environment.
• Excellent spoken and written English; proficiency in the local language is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional customer‑service or healthcare support training is beneficial.
• Ability to remain calm under high call volumes, prioritize tasks and follow scripted workflows.
• Attention to detail, service‑oriented mindset and commitment to data confidentiality.
• Prior experience in healthcare, diagnostics or preventive health services is an advantage.

• Telephony system operation and queue management.
• Proficiency with email and basic office applications.
